Lori Sharp

Lori brings 15 years of non-profit consulting experience, built upon a successful career in global advertising and marketing, to her role leading ThinkSharp! Consulting. Since founding the firm in Western Colorado, she has established a proven track record of securing stable funding and fostering organizational growth through comprehensive grant management and strategic planning. A founding board member of the Montrose Recreation Foundation, Lori's commitment to community development extends through her dedication to mentorship and training. Her expertise spans critical areas including board development and strategic initiatives that strengthen organizational capacity and community impact. Her relationship-first approach ensures deep understanding of each client's mission while delivering measurable results with the highest standards of professional excellence. Lori's work consistently demonstrates that rural organizations can compete effectively for resources when equipped with the right tools and training. She holds a degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Amy Stahlin

Amy has served as Director with ThinkSharp! Consulting since 2020, bringing expertise in grant writing, strategic planning, and fundraising to rural nonprofits throughout Western Colorado. Previously Director of Prestigious Grants and Scholarships at a leading Washington, DC university, Amy combines sophisticated grant management experience with authentic insight into rural community needs gained since making Colorado's mountains her home in 2015. Her warm approach and clear communication style create an environment where ambitious goals feel achievable, whether helping a rural mental health clinic manage their first major grant or guiding a regional arts organization through strategic planning. What sets Amy apart is her natural ability to build authentic connections with every organization she serves, translating complex concepts into actionable steps that create lasting impact. A self-proclaimed "recovering academic" with degrees from Emory University and The Catholic University of America, Amy has found her true calling in helping local nonprofits secure transformative funding that turns big dreams into lasting community impact.

Joey Montoya Boese

Joey brings extensive nonprofit leadership experience to ThinkSharp! Consulting, with expertise in organizational development and strategic management. As a former nonprofit executive director, she has demonstrated success in board development, strategic planning, and organizational growth, working in youth mental health. Her approach combines practical leadership experience with academic expertise, holding a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Strategic Management from Colorado State University Global Campus and dual Bachelor of Science degrees from Adams State University. As a certified coach with the Maxwell Leadership Team, Joey excels at developing both organizations and their leaders, creating inclusive environments that foster sustainable growth. Her ability to transform complex concepts into actionable steps, coupled with her experience in financial planning and resource allocation, makes her particularly effective in guiding organizations through strategic change. Joey's comprehensive understanding of nonprofit operations and governance ensures clients receive practical, implementable solutions that create lasting impact in their communities.

Hannah Max

Hannah Max is a grant writer with extensive experience in medical and government grants. In addition to her work at ThinkSharp! Consulting she serves as the grant writer for the Telluride Regional Medical Center, where she additionally worked as a medical assistant and ER tech. Hannah previously ran the county contact tracing program for the San Miguel County Department of Public Health and managed corporate innovation projects, product management and worked on grants for a range of city and federal partners at Newlab Brooklyn. During her time at Newlab she was on the founding team of AppliedXL where she led product management for an AI Startup focused on clinical trials data. Hannah also serves on the board of the San Miguel Resource Center , The Telluride Medical Center Foundation and The Sancutary Collective. She holds a degree in photography, art history and marketing from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.

Hannah believes that non-profit success starts at the structural level, and that organizations and people truly shine when they have defined programs, practices and roles. She is honored by the opportunity to serve clients who have a profound impact on their community and gives honor to the teachers and mentors who have shared their guidance

Amanda Collins

Katy Pepinsky

For over twenty years, Katy Pepinsky has worked with a diverse array of non-profit and service organizations to help build more resilient communities including Community Resource Center, La Plata Youth Services, Cooking Matters Colorado, Growing Partners of SW Colorado, Mercy Hospital, Peace Corps, and Colorado State University Extension.

Most recently, Katy served as the Director of Grant Services at Community Resource Center (CRC), where she led efforts to strengthen the capacity of Colorado nonprofits to access and manage public and private grant funding. Drawing from her experience as a former Executive Director, grant writer, trainer, and facilitator, she brings a deep understanding of nonprofit operations, strategy, and sustainability to her consulting practice. Katy’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has shaped much of her professional work, including the development and launch of CRC’s GrantCorps initiative—an effort aimed at creating more equitable access to grant resources across the state.

Katy holds a master’s degree in Extension Education from Colorado State University and a Professional Nonprofit Management Certificate from Fort Lewis College. Through her consulting, she continues to support nonprofit leaders and organizations across Colorado and beyond, offering services in grant strategy, training, facilitation, and organizational development.
